McCredie St, Smithfield

  • This project involved the design and installation of ventilation fans to operate under fire conditions for pedestrian escape routes from a large factory complex. Design constraints included working within an existing space and retention of some services. Installation constraints included working with large pieces of plant in relatively small areas, movement of equipment, access provisions for maintenance and maintaining fire integrity.

  • This project involved the design and installation of office air conditioning incorporating the reuse of existing services where possible to provide an economic solution. Design and installation constraints included working within an existing space and retention of some services.

  • This project involved the design and installation of a ventilation system to the drive through area of a factory. The system included the installation of a CO monitoring system to moderate the ventilation rates of the 25 installed existing fans as required by vehicle movements. Design and installation constraints included working with existing services working with large pieces of plant, movement of equipment and access provisions for maintenance.

85 Epping Road, Macquarie Fields

The project comprised of the redesign of the mechanical services to an existing four storey commercial office building. The existing air conditioning was upgraded to improve the internal conditions and reduce energy costs. The installation included new VAV boxes, condenser water pipework, cooling tower and BMS controls. It also included the setting up of ongoing monitoring services for the client. Design and installation constraints included working in an existing building with restricted ceiling space, restricted plantrooms and other retained services.

Ferrero Australasia

The client's policy is to reduce carbon emissions from its manufacturing facilities and they initiated an upgrade and review. As part of this review the existing air conditioning and ventilation plant serving the manufacturing process area were upgraded to reduce energy usage. The design incorporated the use of a new BMS system to enable better management of energy, the recording of conditions, scheduling of maintenance of equipment and future plant upgrades.
